Ahava means LOVE in Hebrew. Love is the foundation for connection, self love is the bedrock of growth. As a sex therapist, a couples counselor, and a self proclaimed "love story junkie", I knew Ahava was the best name for my private practice. Without love for ourselves, we cannot create passion, interest, determination, self-regulation or emotional boundaries. Knowing how to love ourselves is the best path we can take for our families and our communities at large. Here at Ahava, we facilitate this learning and witness real change. Erica Hesselson, the practice owner, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the only AASECT certified Sex Therapist in Berks County, and a leader in the therapeutic industry for over 15 years. She specializes in marriage and couples counseling and assists individuals across Pennsylvania to facilitate change in their lives. Jim Miller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been practicing psychotherapy for the past 25 years treating adults individually and in family therapy throughout Pennsylvania. He specializes in couples counseling and facilitates group sessions enhancing couples’ relationships. In addition, Jim sees clients affected by anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, and aging issues. James offers telehealth only sessions at this time.
